Founder of Books and Co - Accountancy, Turnarounds and Financial Performance
Born in Guernsey in 1975, John holds a Batchelor’s Degree in Organization and Management Studies, a Master’s Degree in Corporate Governance and Administration, is a Chartered Accountant, Trust and Estate Practitioner, Chartered Secretary and a Prince 2 qualified Project Manager.
After his Master’s degree, John undertook his ICAEW articles with Rawlinson & Hunter both in London and in Guernsey. He went on to work as a director of a local fiduciary company before choosing a more self-directed career path in 2008. From 2008, he consulted for numerous companies in Guernsey and further afield in areas of accounting, change management and compliance.
In 2012 John saw an opportunity arise as a result of developments in cloud accounting and responded by establishing Books & Co., Chartered Accountants which is principally aimed at small businesses and owners in Guernsey.
John is happy to advise on all aspects of start up, from planning and forecasting, choice of legal entity, tax compliance, payroll and employment, change management, business valuations, exit routes and divestment strategy.
Married to Bronwen since 2008 the couple enjoy sailing, cycling and Scuba Diving together.
