The B4-8 club is Guernsey’s only dedicated business networking club. It has approximately 40 members from a wide variety of businesses and it meets once a month, over breakfast. It is characterised by its lack of formality, the relaxed atmosphere of its meetings, the good range of speakers who address the club each month and by the club’s five different coloured plastic ducks which indicate to members which table they are sitting at each meeting.

The Guernsey Chamber of Commerce acts as a passionate representative voice; encapsulating industry areas that affect us all. With over 600 active members we represent a large portion of the Island’s business community. Chamber’s structure comprises an elected council, some of whom will chair a sub-committee which focuses on a particular area i.e. transport, planning or tax. GIBA has a membership consisting of all the major financial institutions and professional firms in the island and is the representative body of the financial services industry in Guernsey. GIBA has a governing Council comprising of representatives of all sectors of the industry, which meets on a monthly basis to discuss all current issues affecting the industry. GIBA representatives sit on a number of institutions and working groups, working in consultation with local government committees and regulators on domestic and international issues relevant to the financial services industry. GIBA has links with similar bodies in other jurisdictions in order to discuss matters of mutual international interest.

It was set up by local mums for local families as a one-stop shop for finding information about parenting, child care services and activities in Guernsey. The Young Business Group is a non-profit organisation providing networking opportunities for members through monthly events and business and community projects. YBG has members from every background covering many business sectors, including the retail, hospitality, media, advertising, commercial, IT, legal and finance sectors. It meets on the first Thursday of every month, holding a lunch or dinner club which provides members with an opportunity to chat informally over a meal, make new business connections and friends and enjoy a talk by a topical speaker.
