Startup Guernsey is delighted to be moving into its new base at the Digital Greenhouse from Wednesday 20th January. Startup Guernsey will be working with the Digital Greenhouse and other well-established networks at these premises to provide a compelling environment to support innovation and growth of both the digital and creative sectors on the island.
The Digital Greenhouse is located on the top two floors of Rectory House in the Market Square. It provides a drop-in co-working space, opportunities for members to rent desk space on a flexible basis and the opportunity to attend events and training. The space will be conducive to the exchange of ideas, mutual support and networking with other entrepreneurs.
Membership packages have been created starting at just £10 per month offering great value for money and opportunities to start-up and grow businesses. Startup Guernsey business advisors and mentors will be available to meet on a one-to-one basis at the Digital Greenhouse, providing advice on everything from the initial concept to the growth and development of a new business. The organisation is also looking forward to hosting a series of networking events and training sessions in the dedicated training room and purpose built event space available.
Startup Guernsey is inviting clients and prospective clients to come along to their regular co-working session on Wednesday 20th January between 9.30am - 12.00pm. This will be the first Startup Guernsey co-working Wednesday taking place in the Digital Greenhouse as they previously took place at The Urban Kitchen. Mike Culverwell, Implementation Director of the Digital Greenhouse will also be providing a tour of the facilities at 11:30am.
The next “Small Business Essentials” Workshop is taking place on 20th January from 11:45am-14:15pm in the new Digital Greenhouse training room. The workshop, “Technology 101” is organised and facilitated by entrepreneur and investor Sasha Kazantseva from Islandmums.com and sponsored by Startup Guernsey.
“Technology 101” will explore modern, non-techie, cloud and mobile-based technologies, email and data storage, website, payments, banking, graphic design, data protection and local IT support.
Chairman of Startup Guernsey, Carl Symes, said:
“We are looking forward to being based out of the Digital Greenhouse going forward and to working with the Digital Greenhouse and other partner organisations to support Guernsey’s digital and creative sectors and to inspire and encourage all those interested in entrepreneurship to start and grow their own business."
